JessicaLynnOriginal Italian Greyhound Card #1

Hello, everyone! JessicaLynnOriginal is launching another stamp set! This one is the Italian Greyhound Stamp Set, which will launch May 6th. Pre-ordering begins today! Here is the set:

I'm excited to be a part of this team! So doing these cards is a real pleasure for me! Look at all the different stamps to this set! Awesome! Now let me share with you the first of my 3 cards. And be sure to come back to check out the other 2 cards that I will be sharing!
I found this awesome tutorial via Pinterest on making animal cards. It's called a starburst card. It looked unique enough for me to want to try it out, so I did. And it was so much easier than it looks! Here is the link to the tutorial.  I hope you try it out!

For my card, I decided to use the stamp that has both the kitty and the greyhound. They totally look like buddies here! I used my markers to color them in. And then I added a sentiment from the stamp set up above the image.

I hope you enjoyed this card! Be sure to check out the other Design Team Members!

Be sure to check out Jessica's video about this cute stamp set HERE!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Whisker Graphics Mini-Album

Hello, fellow crafters! I'm so excited to share with you another project using product from Whisker Graphics!  This one was a labor of love, as I love making mini-albums of all sizes! I wanted to do something a little different...for me anyway...using twine. I happened to come upon a tutorial by Sarah Elliott on her YouTube channel. I did make a few minor adjustments to suit my need, but the basic album is from her tutorial.

For this project, I used from Whisker Graphics:

I hope you can stop in at the Whisker Graphics Blog! There, you'll be able to see how I put this together using product from WG. I hope it will inspire you to make your own album! All sizes are adjustable to what you want to make it!

This is a 4x6 Clear Rubber Stamp Set. Below I have linked a video from Jessica regarding this awesome set. Now here's my card:

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #119 - Embellish It!

Hello, crafty peeps! We've started another week of challenges over at Crafty Gals Corner! I sure hope you join us. Our wonderful sponsors this week are::

Prize: $15 Gift Certificate

Prize: 2 Digital Images

So this week, I used an adorable image: A Gift - Winnie Fruit Punch by Polkadoodles. Adorable!!

Because of her name having "Fruit Punch" in it, I kinda thought of a strawberry flavor. With that in mind, I went with variations of pink for the fruit. I cut out my tag and image with my Silhouette, and colored her with my Prismacolors. I have some new markers, but there are still some things I'd just rather color with my pencils. I embellished the tag with laces, a butterfly, some roses, pearls, pearl spray, and flowers.

I normally do a little stenciling on  my tags, but didn't want to cover up the lovely paper I had discovered in my paper stash. So I chose just to embellish it.

I hope you drop into Crafty Gals and enter into the challenges. Every week there are so many amazing projects to choose from, but so very hard to pick the Top 3!

Thank you for stopping in my blog! I really appreciate it!

Outlawz Color Challenge April 18th

Hello, crafters! We started a new COLOR CHALLENGE over at The Outlawz today! And I love the colors in the Tic Tac Toe photo inspiration! Here it is:
Photo Inspiration
For my project, I decided I'd do a Mixed Media canvas, using the top left to bottom right colors and embellishments: pink - lace; lavender - pearls; and green - bling. One of my very favorite things to do are Mixed Media and making Tags! Now for my project:
For my canvas, I began by spreading Gesso all over it so it would get a good primer base. At this point, I'm not sure if I'm going to paint directly on it, or use scrapbooking paper. In the end, I decided to use designer cardstock. As with any mixed media, you can start with one thing and totally end up a different way. While my paper doesn't show much, it still gave me a good base to go with. I used an acrylic stamp in various places on the canvas, then I covered it with rose stencils by Tim Holtz. I sprayed different colors of mists. For the clock, I wet embossed it using a copper color by Zing!

The applique in the bottom right is made by KPKre8tions. The butterflies are made by Reneabouquets. These 2 ladies offer some really great product and are in my faves!!

I hope you come by and join in on our challenge this week! Thank you for stopping by!

JessicaLynnMould Fishing on Phantom Lake Card #2

Hello, crafters! Yesterday I shared with you the first of 3 cards that showcase the new acrylic stamp set from JessicaLynnOriginal. The new stamp set is titled Fishing on Phantom LakeIt's release date is April 22nd, 2017. As I said before, I've not done fish cards before, so this was an "out of my comfort zone" thing for me. But new things are what we crafters do! If you Pre-Order today you'll save $2.65 per set! This is a 4x6 Clear Rubber Stamp Set. Below I have linked a video from Jessica regarding this awesome set. But now...on to my card!

I think this card is perfect for a dad or a grandfather who love to fish! Whether it is for birthday, Father's Day, or just thinking of you! This card was pretty simple to make, as I added layers to give it more of a dimensional look. Then the twine represents the fishing string (yes, I know fishing string isn't that thick...*wink!*)

As promised, here is the link to Jessica's video where she gives you a background as to how she came about making this stamp set.

Please be sure to check out my fellow teammies blogs! They will be sharing their projects, too!

JessicaLynnOriginal New Stamp Launch!

Hello, crafty peeps! Today I want to share with you the first of 3 cards showcasing the new stamp set titled Fishing on Phantom Lake from JessicaLynnOriginalIt's launch date is April 22nd, 2017. Now, I have to admit, I've not done fish cards before, so this was an "out of my comfort zone" thing for me. A challenge...but hey...what crafter doesn't enjoy a challenge, am I right?? And guess what is great if you Pre-Order today? You'll save $2.65 per set! This is a 4x6 Clear Rubber Stamp Set. Below I have linked a video from Jessica regarding this awesome set. But now...on to my card!

I really really enjoyed making this! I used my color markers to color the image, and then stamped various bubbles around. I tried to get the background as a "watery" effect (I'm still learning my markers). At the time I colored my fish you see up there, I had no idea it was a Blue Gill. Lol! But for some reason I decided to make him blue. Wow, talk about coincidence!

Now here is the link to Jessica's video where she gives you a background as to how she came about making this stamp set.

Please be sure to check out my fellow teammies blogs! They will be sharing their projects, too!

Sweet Escapes Tag

Hi once again, crafters! I discovered another digital company a short time ago. And I have to tell you...I love them! The company is Sweet Escapes. Believe me, when I went in to shop, it was hard to choose which image I would try first! But in the end, I chose the image called Kate.  (Just a side note here: I am not a Design Team Member with Sweet Escapes. This is just something I totally love and want to share.)

For her, I decided to make a tag. Here she is:

I printed off the digital paper and cut her out with my Silhouette. I used my Prismacolors to color her in. I decided to leave her hair black and white (although I did use my Prismacolors for the black and white colors anyway, to give it more depth). The butterfly you see is from Reneabouquets. I decorated my tag with lace, pearl trims, and a flower.

I hope you enjoyed her! And thank you so much for stopping by!

Tsunami Rose Designs DT Project

Hello, everyone! Today I want to share a project I did for Tsunami Rose Designs! For my project, I used the Easter Blessings Bible Journaling Kit.  I thought it would be a perfect digital kit for a little Easter Basket or a Spring Basket. Here it is:

I definitely decided on using my Silhouette for this project, as I knew there was going to be a lot of cutting on it! Everything....including the basket itself....is printed with TRD Easter Blessings paper and cut out with the Silhouette. I decorated the outside with laces and flowers, and an applique by KPKre8tions (an administrator with TRD). I added 2 different sets of prayer/blessings cards, each with their own envelopes. Then I placed the name of the basket on the outside of it.

This kit is beautiful! The details and the clarity of the print on these are so gorgeous! Even though I was low on ink at the time, they still printed beautifully!

Here are some links to Tsunami Rose Designs, including her Etsy Shop and her Facebook Page. I hope you drop by!

Outlawz Color Challenge Week of April 11th, 2017

Hello, crafters! I'm so glad you stopped by! Today I want to share with you my card for this week's Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! This week's Sponsor is Createful Hearts. But first, let me share with you the Photo Inspiration for this week, which is the Flag of Spain:
Wow! There are some bright colors in there, aren't there? I really loved the challenge for this one! For my card, I chose the Worn Out Truck by Createful Hearts. I really wasn't sure what to do with it at first, but as I thought about it, I went with the creative juices! So out came my Silhouette Portrait and my markers!

As you can see, I mainly worked with the red, blue, and yellow. I felt my truck needed to be a faded out red color. I actually used watered down acrylic white paint for the clouds. The trees and grass were all cut out with my SIL.  I then mounted everything together and used my Glossy Accents to fill in the window glass and headlights.

I hope you come by and join in on the challenges! Every week a new color challenge! Plus, there are other challenges over at The Outlawz...one for each day of the week!

Thank you for stopping by!

Milwaukee Zoo Fundraiser - JessicaLynnOriginal Digital Stamp

Hello, everyone! Today I want to share with you a new digital designed specifically for the Milwaukee Zoo to help raise funds for the care of the animals. Jessica Lynn has made this awesomely cute digital! Jessica's family loves the zoo, and they visit quite often! So in order to give back, they want to help the zoo out by offering this digital stamp for you to download! All the profits will go to help "Ruth & Britney" with their new location! Our goal is $250. Anything else is amazing! Here is the link to the digital JessicaLynnOriginal Elephant Stamp

A Note About the Zoo:
The Zoological Society’s goal this year is to raise money to build and purchase many different types of elephant enrichment items for Ruth and Brittany, the Zoo’s African elephants. Since they will be getting a much bigger home – we need to plan ahead to fill their home with things that will give Ruth and Brittany the opportunity to engage in natural behaviors.

Our wish list includes:

Building an Elephant Care Corridor – to allow for routine foot exams and health monitoring
Designing a feeding wall with puzzles and compartments so the elephants can forage to find treats
Constructing a realistic Baobab tree that provides shade and activities for Ruth and Brittany to do
Installing lots of pulleys and cables to hang things like hay and browse or elephant-safe wind chimes and puzzle feeders to encourage natural problem solving behaviors
Installing a shower that the elephants can control themselves
Building an elephant popcorn feeder

Now, let me show you what I did with this adorable image! I figured a Birthday card for someone young would be great for this image! Here's what I created:

Be sure to check out the Milwaukee Zoo Facebook page! And don't forget that if you buy the digital image from JessicaLynnOriginal, the profits will go to the zoo!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges April 5th, 2017

Hey, crafters! Guess what time it is?? It's time for another week of Challenges over at Crafty Gals Corner!  This is Challenge #117 - Theme: 3+ Layers! Yes, the card base counts as a layer as long as it shows. Here is our sponsor for this week:

Prize: $10 Gift Certificate
Wowzers! A $10 Gift Certificate is an awesome prize! Now here's my project using Lily Cat Fairy
She is such a cutie! So as you can see, I have my 3 layers: The base of the card, a mounting piece on top of that, and then the white mounting piece with the digital on top. I foam mounted the white digital piece so it would stand out more, and then the pearls gave it the extra dimension I was looking for. She was colored with my Prismacolors (for some reason I'm running low on my colors...gasp!) The butterflies you see there are ones I made using heavy duty vellum from the Paper Temptress. I used ink on the back of them to color them in...kind of gives it a watercolor effect.

You see the kitty? I have a kitty named Mittens, a muted (diluted) tortoiseshell cat. (Not a breed, just her markings.) I love my kitty, so I figured this kitty needed to be a tortie. My cat actually has more gray markings than what I put on this one, but that's ok. I could change that if I wanted to, but I liked it so I left it.

I hope you come on over and join us in on the fun! 3+ layers...endless possibilities!

Thanks for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge April 4th, 2017

Hello, crafty peeps! We are starting a new COLOR CHALLENGE over at the Outlawz today! And for this week our sponsor is Createful Heart Digis!  Mary has some awesome digis over there, so be sure to check her shop out!

So what are we going to do this week's colors in? Well, take a look at the photo! Isn't it adorable! Those little chickies are just so cute! There is a twist: Add an animal.

Now here is my card. I used the Dragonfly 'Hi' digital. Now, the color of the little chick was more of a purple plum color to me, on my monitor screen, so...since I didn't have the plum...I chose purple. The color swatch has more of a lilac, but I saw purple. That's okay...just keep in the same color scheme. If I had seen more of lilac, I would have done that. So, what do you see in your colors?

I'm not going to go into a lot of detail about the "how-to" of the card, but I did use my diecuts for the sentiment and the lattice, plus cut out the base card and image with my Silhouette. Then it was a matter of putting it all together.

I hope you join us this week! We love to see what you come up with in your work!

Blessings, Jeanie Ellis - Scrapbookingmamaw

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was seven years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing!  From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.  Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
Now here is my card for this week. It's actually a pop up card. It was fun to make!

To get details on how I made this and the supplies, be sure to check out the upcoming magazine! And be sure to join in on the challenges each week! Fellow DT members have put out some very inspirational cards that should get your creative juices flowing!
